CC Javelinas Beat CC Winn
With the second game of the season at hand, the Javelinas prepare to face the Eagle Pass C.C. Winn Mavericks on Monday, November 29, 2009 here in the Javelina Gym. Our starting five began the game with a good 4 point lead. For every two point shot the Mavericks had, the Mighty Javelinas responded with three pointers. Putting up some good defense, the Javelinas made it harder for them to add more points to their score.
In the second half our varsity team really stepped it up and created a 10 point gap. With the Javelinas in the lead, the Mavericks began trying every play possible to over-power our defense. The game ended with a score of 68 to 55, a Javelina victory. The lead scorers in the game were Benito Perez followed by Matthew Martinez.
