"I want to make all students thinkers.  If they can think, then they can reason.  Students can do so much more than they know, they just have to set their goals high and believe in themselves.  My statement is : There is no such word as 'can't' in my classroom;  the reply to a challenge is: 'I will try.'"

"I strongly believe that every student deserves an equal and fair education that challenges them.  My goal for your child is to prepare him or her for second grade while instilling an enjoyment and love of learning.  Some expectations for my students are to do their best, come to school ready to learn, and be respectful to their teachers and classmates.  Some goals for your child in first grade will be to read and comprehend at a Reading Level 16 at 60 wpm, to know their addition and subtraction fact families, to expand their vocabulary, and to write interesting and comprehensible compositions."
