Javelinas Cross Country Team Advances to Regional’s

The Javelinas Cross Country Varsity Boy’s Team competed at the 29-4AAAA UIL District Cross Country Championships in Devine, Texas on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 and advance for the eighth consecutive year to the UIL Region IV Cross Country Championships in Corpus Christi, Texas.  The Javelinas were lead by Frank Arenas placing 7th followed by Jonas Tapia who cross the finish in 12th place.  Contributing to the team advancement was Matthew Puente, Jesse Jay Ruiz, Norberto Garcia, Zachary Faz and Angel Rivera.  Receiving All District Honors for the 2019-2020 Cross Country 29-4AAAA was Frank Arenas.

The Lady Javelinas Cross Country Team also competed at the 29-4AAAA UIL District Cross Country Championships in Devine, Texas and barely missed advancing to the Region IV Championships.  Leading the team was Gabriella Roiz placing 9th and advancing to the UIL Region IV Cross Country Championships in Corpus Christi, Texas.  Also competing were Meghan Huerta,Relyla Rios, Nayeli Garica, Kiara Roiz, Reyna Martinez and Nayeli Moncada.  Receiving All District Honors for the 2019-2020 Cross Country 29-4AAAA was Gabriella Roiz.

The UIL Region IV Cross Country Championships will be held in Corpus Christi, Texas Dugan Track and Soccer Stadium, 700 Nile Street on Monday, October 28, 2019.
